Google Drive
Tyler Brown

Google Drive is a way to create a documents, slide show presentation, celled documents, and many more. Google Drive allows you to type up documents and automatically save them to a user name/account and you are available to on any computer. As long as you have internet access you are able to open up your files. This is much more convenient than Microsoft Word because word only save documents and files to a hard drive that you can only view on the computer that you created it on unless you have a transferable form of storage. Having this technology is very beneficial for people who want to allow many people to view a document on separate computers and also to have your documents readily available to you at any second you need them. As long as you have a computer and internet access that you are able to open up a document you could have made months, even years ago from any computer.
To have your files saved over the internet is a very amazing feature that google drive offers. If you have a presentation and want to work on it at home or at school you can save it to your google drive account and open it at both locations having it automatically save. I think that google drive is a very good feature that is now available on your smartphone. Having these features at your disposal is an amazing technological advantage and supplies the user with much more ease while trying to operate and open their documents via the internet.

MySpace and Facebook

In today’s day and age there are many different forms of communication. Face to face communication has rapidly become a thing of the past. Many people use cell phones to text and make calls, emails, and social Medias. Many of these forms of communication take out the middle man in communication and supply the user with a direct conversation/statement between two users. Many social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and Google Plus are excellent devices that can be used by anyone as a form of communication and also to see new trends/pictures from famous people or distant relatives. These forms of communication allow the user to learn about another person while supplying somewhat personal information to all of the devices users. While many of these devices have protection restriction to help limit the possibility of such hacking/abuse from happening many people don’t know about them.

Social networks, emails, and cell phones are all excellent forms of advertising between the user and a company. These social media networks online also allow recreational and entertainment applications. These applications are also a major hazard to the protection of you accounts. These applications are able to take control over your posting and post things that you don’t write to assist in their advertising.

Some of the new page designs on many of these social media networks allow users to view more information without being your friend. This is also an invasion of your personal life. If you don’t go and adjust your security settings, anybody could go and view your information at any time whether they are your friend or not. This is a serious hazard to teenagers and people, who have had confrontations with somebody because somebody could just go into the search bar, type your name or your location and be able to find you.

Twitter Paper
Tyler Brown

Twitter is an amazing way to communicate with people without being face to face with them. You are able to follow people all around the world and even with celebrities and are able to see what they are doing and what they are going to do. Many people use twitter to broadcast events and parties that are going to happen soon that they are hosting. Some use twitter to communicate with friends and many just use twitter as a means to keep in touch with what is happening in the world currently.
The website has made many architectural changes andalso their url link. Twitter has changed their site layout many times, introducing their current trending bar on the side to see important tweets in many different topics that many people tweet. Twitter also designed their error message screen as eight orange birds carrying a whale in a net saying “Too many Tweets! Please wait a moment and try again.” This message was a big change because of the standard freezing or error message page they designed their own.
Twitter also has changed their programing that they used to create their website from MySQL which is a shared data website to “Ruby on Rails” framework which is more private and also provides them with an easier and more user friendly way of editing or re-engineering of their website. Having over 500 million users and over 340 million tweets a day, Twitter has a main goal of making their website as user friendly and as compatible as possible to be sure to please their users. Twitter has introduced an iPhone app, an iPad app, and Android apps to be sure that people are able to use their product at all times.
Twitter based their website off of many different social media networks such as Flickr and has many qualities of social media like Facebook and MySpace. These qualities are being able to share information and events/ things you’re doing. Twitter also has made many changes in their page management. This means they have made it easier for users to travel between pages with ease and less complications. This change has also enhanced the connection between the URL and the information that is on the page.
The technology that Twitter uses in JavaScript. With this technology they are able to control and change many different aspects of their website. They use many different JavaScripts for many different tasks that they have the website controlling. Some of these scripts are: jQuery, Mustache, Labjs, and Modernizer. These scripts basically control the layout and the functionality of the website Twitter.
